Sephisa princeps (Fixsen, 1887)

The species occurs in Amur and Ussuri regions of Russia, NE China and Korea. It was described by Fixsen in 1887 (Lepidoptera aus Korea. — In: Romanoff, N. M. (Ed.) Mémoires sur les Lépidoptères 3: 289, Pl. 13: Figs 7a, b) from ‘Pung-Tung’ [Korea]. Here is the original drawing by Lang (l. c.: Fig. 7b). The imago flies in July—August in oak forests. The larval host plant is Quercus mongolica.
