EDITORIAL

It’s been a long time since we issued our last newsletter. Other time-consuming projects and our migration to a more advanced computer system caused the delay. In this period 3 completely new sites in the portal appeared: Prime Butterfly Areas in Bulgaria and Apple Macintosh computers in Bulgaria. Some other new things include:
— Accessibility: Implemented are all necessary (and reasonable) adjustments to make our website more accessible (especially for people with disabilities). [More about access keys...]
— Search: A new powerful search engine has been installed.

Tropical Andean butterfly diversity project
— The project goals are to establish a foundation for future research on butterflies in the region. It will provide resources, such as specimen databases, species lists and images, conduct training courses for students in Andean countries, and develop and publish a strategy for butterfly research and conservation in the tropical Andean region...

Butterfly conservation project in progress
— A large-scale project on the butterfly habitats conservation in Bulgaria is under way. It is a partnership project developed by Butterfly Conservation Europe, Dutch Butterfly Conservation (De Vlinderstichting) and the National Museum of Natural History, Sofia...
