Lectotype male, in MNHN Paris, designated by Abadjiev (2005: 137—138), with labels:
— (1) circle printed (on white paper with blue frame) ‘SYN- | TYPE’; (2) printed (on white paper in red) ‘TYPE’; (3) printed (on white paper with light green frame and lines) ‘MUSÉUM DE PARIS’, on the back side handwritten in pencil ‘xanthodice’; (4) circle (green below) handwritten ‘34 | 42’; (5) handwritten (on white paper) ‘Pieris XANTHODICE | A preudre comne | lectotype de Lucas, | Revue et Mag. de Zool., 2e série, vol. 4, p. 337’.
Paralectotypes male, female with labels:
[male] (1) printed (on white paper with light green frame and lines) ‘MUSÉUM DE PARIS’, on the back side circle sticked handwritten ‘34 | 42’; (2) handwritten (on white paper) ‘Pieris XANTHODICE | Lucas’.

Treated as a taxonomic species (Herrera & Field, 1959: 511).
