This is an addition to a paper on the types of Balkan butterflies in The Natural History Museum, London (Abadjiev, 2002). Each line in the text of the labels is separated by a vertical line ‘|’. In quotations of combined labels (handwritten on printed forms) the handwritten text is reproduced in italics; completely handwritten and completely printed labels are quoted in a plain character face.

The paratypes have been illustrated on plate 10: figs 1, 2. The originally stated locality of the specimen illustrated on fig. 2 (the female), Greece, is erroneous (cf. labels above). Actually all the specimens represent Apatura ilia ([Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775).
